Trust is everything.
Part of our job as leaders is to scout out the higher ground for your sheep.
The secret place, the places you go in worship on your own.
You have to have vision for the territory you have been given.
You don’t just need your own personal vision. We are always leading someone else’s sheep. This is someone else’s prized possession.
This isn’t just a blank canvas, we are leading HIS bride. We are serving a master.
What facilitates the longings He has in His heart for His bride.
Are we aware of it and we in tune with it.
Study the heart of God for His people.
Bethel is shifting the entire church world because it created something SO potent. It’s not size, it’s potency.
GIVE PERMISSION NOT PUNISHMENT
I’ve watched worship leaders punish a congregation for their lack of response.
Always try to catch a glimpse of heaven
“Aim at Heaven and you will get Earth 'thrown in': aim at Earth and you will get neither.” - C.S. Lewis
Trust and Authenticity
Keep a true pure heart alive for God is one of the most important things you can do.
There is a real struggle in trying to be true to yourself.
Build momentum in who you are.
If I’m struggling to be authentic i picture Jesus standing on the front row.
Resist performing for people.
Family and deep intimacy create a place where you can be known and not perform.
God is our father
He prunes us.
He calls our beings into attention with His authority
If you want real breakthrough it’s not a one man show.
Co-leading needs complementing strengths. You find them by experimenting.
Things I'm looking for in a co-leader:
I’m looking for trust
To have a heart to serve the greater good. (everyone wins when we get breakthrough.
